Newly introduced Semtech 224G linear TIA and driver portfolio (GN1838L, GN42T380 and GN42M380) for near-packaged and co-packaged optics. Contact Semtech for availability.
The published products are the GN1838L and GN42T380, described as the industry’s first linear octal TIAs, and the GN42M380 linear octal Mach-Zehnder modulator (MZM) driver, optimized for 1.6T, 3.2T, 6.4T and 12.8T optical engines. Semtech says the portfolio is optimized for CEI-224G-Linear and Open CPX interfaces. GN1838L is published at 500 µm channel pitch and GN42T380 at 375 µm, with TIAs usable beside a photonic integrated circuit or placed on top of it; both include automatic gain control and programmable CTLE. GN42M380 is published at 375 µm channel pitch and supports silicon photonics, indium phosphide MZM and thin-film lithium niobate modulators, with configurable output swing and on-chip equalization. Diagnostics are accessed through device pads and an I²C interface. Availability: contact Semtech for the GN1838L, GN42T380 and GN42M380 product family. This listing does not describe the portfolio as generally shipping.
