Emerging Signal
Open die-to-die standards are enabling interoperable chiplets from multiple vendors within modular semiconductor systems.

Open chiplet ecosystems use published die-to-die interface standards so separately designed dies can be combined in one package. The aim is a modular system in which chiplets from more than one source can connect through a shared physical and protocol stack, rather than a link that exists only inside one vendor package.
Large monolithic dies are costly to design and manufacture. A shared die-to-die standard gives system designers a way to combine compute, I/O and other functions, and it gives design, IP and packaging teams a common interface to implement.
Watch how open die-to-die specifications are used across packaging styles, how interoperability between vendors is demonstrated, and which design and packaging platforms expose those interfaces.
