Aheesa describes it as a RISC-V SoC using the 64-bit C-DAC VEGA processor for GPON and EPON fiber customer-premises equipment, with Gigabit Ethernet, DDR4, SPI NOR and eMMC. India's Press Information Bureau reported on 15 August 2026 that VIHAAN reached first-pass silicon and that production tape-out is targeted for 2027. This is announced silicon, not a commercially available product.
